Saudi Arabia new FDA Regulations for Food and Supplement
Effective December 19, 2016: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority/ Saudi Government announced that they would be imposing new regulations targeting all importers purchasing products in bulk overseas for resale & redistribution.
As a direct result, the Saudi Food & Drug Authoritiesy is requiring all importers purchasing any food/supplements and/ or cosmetic products to adhere to these new restrictions:
Imported Food/Supplements Restrictions:
• Cannot exceed 3 of the same product with a per -shipment maximum of 5 different products.
Cosmetic/Non-food/Supplements Restrictions:
• Limitation of 20 cosmetics/non-food supplements products per order.
If the guidelines mentioned above are not strictly followed, shipments can be delayed and /or rejected.
